The Eagle School Afterschool Program

SEBNC @ P.S. X140 offers a dynamic after-school and Out-of-School Time (OST) program designed for elementary school-aged children. 

Operating from Monday to Friday, September through June, our program provides three hours of engaging 

educational activities and homework assistance, running from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

Additionally, we offer a supper program at 2:30 PM, ensuring that students are well-nourished before diving into the day’s activities.

Our curriculum includes a diverse range of activities such as:

  • STEM
  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
  • Healthy habits
  • Physical education
  • and more

We take pride in creating a safe, supportive environment where every child is heard and understood. 

Ensuring the well-being of the youth we serve is the top priority for our Program Director, Ms. Johnson.

The program also extends to thirteen school holidays, offering full-day OST sessions to ensure that 

students continue to receive meals and educational support even when school is not in session. 

During these days, we organize fun and educational trips to exciting locations like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, bowling alleys, and the Museum of Natural History. 

These experiences reflect our deep commitment to the youth in our community, providing them with opportunities to explore and learn beyond the classroom.

TEAM FIRST

Mission : To help academically and/or economically disadvantaged students to complete elementary, middle, and high school and go on to complete college or other post-secondary education. Through academic and social support, we provide our students with a solid foundation that will enable them to succeed in school and life. Most importantly, our goal is to inspire students to become critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and productive citizens in society.
